In Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, bike-borne miscreants targeted two different wedding processions within just 17 minutes on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday, committing robberies. Both incidents were captured on CCTV, providing crucial clues to the police. Both incidents were recorded on nearby CCTV cameras. The footage shows two suspects on a Pulsar bike. Police suspect that the same gang carried out both incidents. First incident: Bag snatched from uncle At 11:58 PM, in front of Rajwada Palace in Bahodapur, miscreants targeted Kamta Prasad Shriwas (father of Councilor Brijesh Shriwas), the groom’s uncle, who was standing apart from the procession. Two miscreants on a Pulsar-like bike snatched his bag from behind and fled. The jolt was so strong that he fell face down on the road. The bag contained about 50,000 rupees, jewelry, and other items. Second incident: Bag snatched from groom’s father 3 km away 17 minutes after the first incident, around 12:15 PM, the second incident occurred outside Patel Barat Ghar in Hazira. Here, retired soldier Jogendra Singh Tomar had arrived to pay the band members for his son’s wedding. Just then, bike-borne miscreants snatched a bag full of cash and bills from his hand and fled. The bag contained about 95 thousand rupees and important documents. Police continue search As soon as news of two consecutive robberies was received, a blockade was set up, and checks were conducted throughout the city, but the accused were not apprehended. According to CSP Krishnapal Singh, the miscreants are being identified based on CCTV footage, and an early arrest has been claimed.
