The IPL 2026 has only gotten bigger and better as another week has passed. The week gone by witnessed some sensational action and we witnessed centuries galore, with a number of batters getting past the three-figure mark. It wasn’t until 11 April that the tournament witnessed its first centurion and now, there are as many as eight players with hundreds this season. Bhaskar English will bring you the best XI from week 4 in IPL 2026 and highlight the best batter, bowler and fielder in the past seven days in the tournament. Let’s take a look at who made the cut. Best batter of week 4: Abhishek Sharma
Abhishek Sharma emerged as the best batter out of the many who stole the show this week in IPL 2026. The explosive left-hander just showed why he is considered among the most brutal hitters of the cricket ball as he plundered 192 runs in two matches, which included a scintillating century. Best bowler of week 4: Mohsin Khan Mohsin Khan emerged as the best bowler of week 4 in IPL 2026. The left-arm pacer, who has struggled with injuries in his career, dished out two superb performances, although both came in losing causes. One of them saw him become the first bowler in IPL 2026 to take a five-wicket haul when he registered figures of 5/23 against KKR. In all, he took seven wickets in two matches. Best fielder of week 4: Rinku Singh Rinku Singh stood out as the fielder of the past week. The KKR star, who is characteristically a very good fielder, pulled off five catches in his team’s Super Over win against LSG and one of them included a magnificent one taken near the boundary. The catch was to dismiss Aiden Markram when he caught the ball, pushed it in the field of play before crossing over and then returned into the field to complete the catch. IPL 2026 Best XI of week 4 1) Abhishek Sharma was an absolute no-brainer when it came to the role of an opener. The left-hander was a big reason behind the Sunrisers Hyderabad winning both their matches this week, against the Delhi Capitals and later, against the Rajasthan Royals. 2) Vaibhav Sooryavanshi continues to script his own legacy at just 15 years of age. The youngster flopped against the Lucknow Super Giants, falling for just eight runs against the Lucknow Super Giants. But Sooryavanshi reminded everyone why he is a boy wonder. The southpaw blasted his second IPL century off just 37 balls against the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Facing the Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium, Samson brought out his absolute best, smashing a 54-ball century which paved the way for CSK to outclass their arch-rivals. Despite failing to make a mark against the Gujarat Titans, Samson, in two matches, scored 112 runs. 4) KL Rahul wrote his name in history books with a record-breaking 152* against the Punjab Kings this week. Rahul registered the highest individual score by an Indian in the IPL, becoming just the third batter to breach the 150-run mark in the tournament’s history. His knock helped Delhi Capitals smash 264/2 against the Punjab Kings, a total which was later hunted down. In two matches, Rahul hammered 189 runs. 5) Shreyas Iyer has been the best captain so far in IPL 2026. His captaincy skills, coupled with his performances with the bat has made him a must-pick for our team of the week. Iyer played a stellar 71-run knock off just 36 balls that helped Punjab Kings gun down the highest total in IPL history, against the Delhi Capitals. 6) Tilak Varma was responsible for playing one of the most standout knocks this week. After hitting 19 runs off his first 22 balls, Tilak pulled off one of the best accelerations in recent times, hammering his next 23 balls for 82 runs. With this, the left-hander got to his maiden IPL century and set the platform for the Mumbai Indians to beat the Gujarat Titans, breaking a run of four losses. 7) The left-arm spinner played a crucial role in CSK defeating the Mumbai Indians with a superb four-wicket haul. With CSK needing to defend 208 on a good batting track, Hosein dished out a superb display, dismissing Danish Malewar, Naman Dhir, Suryakumar Yadav and an in-form Tilak Varma. 8) Jofra Archer breathed fire with his raw pace this week. Although Archer could not continue his streak of taking first-ball wickets, he was pretty effective with the new ball in hand. In two matches, Archer picked up five wickets, which included a three-wicket haul against the Lucknow Super Giants. 9) Mohsin Khan has been among the best Indian bowlers in IPL 2026. Although his team lost four matches on the trot, the Lucknow Super Giants pacer was pretty effective. In the Super Sunday night matchup against the Kolkata Knight Riders, he recorded the maiden 5-wicket haul of his IPL career. It was also the first 5-fer of the Indian Premier League 2026 season. The Gujarat Titans star picked up six wickets in three matches, including a sensational three-wicket haul which rocked the Mumbai Indians early on in match 30. He finished the week with six wickets in three matches. 11) The left-arm wrist spinner has been pretty consistent in terms of economy and wicket-taking front despite the Chennai Super Kings’ lean patch in this season of IPL. He took back-to-back wickets of Hardik Pandya (1) and Sherfane Rutherford (0), helping CSK win the match by a record 103 runs. Even against GT, he removed Shubman Gill for 33(23).
