MLA who warned IPS changes stance:On queries, says will respond after notice; had asked SDOP if orders came from Modi-Shah

BJP MLA Pritam Singh Lodhi from Pichhore seat in Shivpuri district has come under the party’s scanner for allegedly threatening Karera SDOP. After the matter reached the central leadership, state president Hemant Khandelwal issued him a notice on Wednesday. A response has been sought within 3 days. After the notice was issued, Dainik Bhaskar spoke to the MLA at his official residence in Bhopal. During this, his demeanour seemed changed. He remained silent on the questions. Avoiding conversation, he said, “First let me receive the notice, only then will I be able to say anything.” Bhaskar: You have received the party’s notice, what is your response now? Pritam Lodhi: Didn’t receive it, I will go to take the notice now. Bhaskar: You must have seen the notice on social media? Pritam Lodhi: I have seen it through social media. Bhaskar: What is your response to what you have seen? Pritam Lodhi: I will go now, let me get the notice in hand first, then I will respond. Bhaskar: A response has been sought in 3 days in this matter, what is your response? Pritam Lodhi: The President has called me now. Let me take the notice from him, then I will give my response to the family. Then whatever decision the family takes. Whatever orders it gives me, I will proceed accordingly. Bhaskar: Why did you have to say that you would take ten thousand people and fill the SDOP’s house with cow dung? Pritam Lodhi: Let me proceed now, I have come for a certain task. Let me give my response, after that our office bearers will tell what I have said. Bhaskar: Has the party told you not to speak anything further now? Pritam Lodhi: If the family calls and says something, won’t we obey the family’s order? One should obey the family’s order. This is the whole controversy related to MLA Lodhi On Thursday morning around 7:30 AM, in Karera, Shivpuri, MLA Pritam Lodhi’s son Dinesh Lodhi’s speeding ‘Thar’ (which had ‘MLA’ written on it) hit three people on a bike and two women walking. After the accident, a video of Dinesh Lodhi went viral in which he was scolding the injured, saying, I was blowing the horn and siren, why weren’t you people moving away? Police registered a case against Dinesh Lodhi. MLA Pritam Lodhi initially said that the law would take its course and he himself asked the police to register a case. Kareira’s SDOP Ayush Jakhar (IPS officer) called Dinesh Lodhi for questioning. Police removed the illegal siren and black film from the car and initiated the process to cancel his driving license. On Sunday, a video of Pritam Lodhi surfaced in which he accused the SDOP of warning his son “not to be seen again in Karera” and “not to engage in politics.”
Lodhi openly threatened the SDOP, saying, “Is Karera your father’s? My son will come again and contest elections, stop him if you dare.” On Tuesday, Pritam Lodhi issued another strong statement. He said that if the SDOP did not apologize or provide clarification within 15 days, he would gather 10,000 people, gherao the SDOP’s bungalow, and fill it with cow dung. Following Lodhi’s statement, there was a sharp reaction on social media and in administrative circles. The IPS Association also objected to this behavior. The party considered the MLA’s continuous objectionable statements and openly threatening a public servant (IPS officer) as “indiscipline”. On Wednesday, a show cause notice was issued to Pritam Lodhi on the instructions of BJP State President Hemant Khandelwal.
