4 friends killed as tractor overturns into pit:Had travelled from Dindori to Anuppur; bodies recovered with JCB

In Anuppur district on Sunday morning, a tractor went out of control and overturned into a ditch below the road. The accident was so severe that 4 friends died on the spot after getting trapped under the tractor’s engine and trolley. All the deceased were residents of the neighbouring district Dindori. According to police, the four friends hailing from village Bhimkundi in Karanjiya police station area of Dindori district were coming to village Pauni in Anuppur to get gravel (crusher) in a tractor. Around 6 am near Thaad Pathar in Karan Plateau police station area, the tractor suddenly went out of control and went off the road and overturned. Bodies recovered with help of JCB After the accident, there was chaos and screaming at the spot. Upon receiving information, the police team reached the incident site. The tractor’s engine and parts had overturned on top of the youths, making it difficult to extract them. The police called for a JCB machine and after great effort, the trapped bodies and the tractor were pulled out from the ditch. According to Anuppur Superintendent of Police, Motiur Rahman, the deceased have been identified. All were from Dindori. One was a minor. These are the deceased As soon as the news of this tragic accident that occurred early in the morning reached Bhimkundi village, mourning spread there. The entire village is in shock due to the death of four youths at once. The police have registered a case and sent the bodies for post-mortem and are conducting a detailed investigation into the causes of the accident.
