A delivery executive working with an Instacart delivery company has been missing since January 21 after allegedly committing fraud involving high-value parcels. The accused, identified as Dhruv Sam, had left for deliveries with 28 packages but never returned. A case of cheating was registered against him by the Crime Branch on April 16. Parcels tampered, stones found instead of phones According to the company’s team leader, Rajkumar Sharma, Dhruv delivered 16 out of the 28 assigned parcels. Five parcels were later found intact at the office. However, seven parcels, which reportedly contained Apple mobile phones, were discovered to have stones placed inside instead of the devices. This clearly indicated that the delivery executive had allegedly tampered with the shipments before disappearing. Bag and shipment left behind at office Dhruv had left the office around 8 a.m. on January 21 from the company’s facility in Silver Estate to complete deliveries. When he failed to return by evening, the company initiated inquiries. It was later found that he had returned to the office, left behind his delivery bag and shipment, and then disappeared. Repeated attempts to contact him failed as his phone was switched off. Later that night, around 9 p.m., the office team checked the bag and uncovered discrepancies in the parcels. Missing despite initial search efforts Despite informing the police at the time and conducting internal efforts to trace him, Dhruv has remained untraceable for nearly three months. With no breakthrough in locating him, the company filed a formal complaint with the Crime Branch, leading to the registration of a fraud case. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the matter.
