A wolf attacked villagers, injuring three men and killing two goats, before being overpowered by a man and beaten to death by locals in Khandwa district. A video of the incident has surfaced, showing a man pinning the animal to the ground. Attack near village pond The incident occurred in Khodri village under the Pandhana police station area. According to villagers, Vijay Bare had gone near a pond around 10 pm on Friday when a wolf, hiding nearby, attacked him. He sustained serious injuries to his nose and leg. He managed to catch hold of the wolf and pinned it down by lying over it, despite being bitten during the struggle. Soon, other villagers arrived at the scene, tied the wolf with ropes, and eventually beat it to death. Forest Department response Khandwa Ranger Shankar Singh Chauhan said that a forest guard was sent to the spot, but the carcass of the wolf could not be recovered.
