Elderly parents had to pay the price for their son’s debt in Indore. Three criminals held a 63-year-old elderly couple hostage in their own home overnight and threatened to kill them after snatching their mobile phones. The incident occurred on Sunday in the Heera Nagar police station area. Police have registered an FIR against three accused and taken them into custody. Debt of crores, son missing for 20 days According to TI Sushil Patel, Ramesh Joshi (retired employee, currently security guard), a resident of Maruti Nagar, has a son Ankit Joshi who has been missing for 20 days after incurring debts of crores of rupees. On Sunday, three youths named Abhishek, Ankit and Gulshan reached the elderly man’s house to recover 40 lakh rupees from Ankit. Set up camp in the house, kept surveillance all night The accused held the elderly couple hostage. They switched off their phones. They threatened that if Ankit is not found, they will forcibly take both of you to Bihar. It went too far when the accused sat camping in the house all night and kept the elderly couple under surveillance. Elderly Man’s Wisdom: How He Outsmarted the Criminals On Monday morning, Ramesh Joshi pleaded with the accused to let him go to duty. The accused gave permission on the condition that Gulshan would stay with them. After being guarded all day, at night near Meghdoot Garden, Ramesh Joshi found an opportunity, gave Gulshan the slip, and went straight to Hira Nagar police station. Police Action: Woman Rescued As soon as the TI (Town Inspector) heard the elderly man’s ordeal, he immediately dispatched a team. The police raided the house, rescued the elderly woman from the clutches of the criminals, and took all three accused into custody.
