A late-night dispute at a tea café in Indore’s Lasudia area escalated into violence on Sunday, with both knife attack and firing taking place during the clash. The incident, which began over money related to alcohol, caused panic in the locality. Fortunately, no one was hit by the bullets. The incident took place at Tea Chowki café in Scheme No. 78. Both parties were known to each other and had met to resolve an earlier dispute. However, during the discussion, an argument again broke out over money related to alcohol, which quickly escalated into a physical fight and firing. One attacked with knife, the other fired shots According to Rishabh Rajput’s statement to police, Aryan Patel and Nikhil alias Hani demanded money for alcohol. When he refused, they abused him, and Aryan attacked him with a knife, leaving him injured. Aryan, however, alleged that Rishabh initiated the attack and later pulled out a pistol from his Activa scooter and fired 2–3 rounds with intent to kill him. Two arrested, one absconding Lasudia police station in-charge Taresh Soni said that cases have been registered on complaints from both sides. Police have arrested Rishabh and Aryan, while Nikhil alias Hani is currently absconding. Investigation ongoing about where the pistol came from Police are now investigating where the pistol used in the incident came from. The criminal background of Aryan is also being verified as part of the ongoing probe.
