Notably, Samson stayed unbeaten at the score of 115 by the end of the 1st innings. It was an aerial catch that Sarafaraz Khan took at backward point as he ran to his right and had a cap in his left hand. Axar Patel played a hard cut on a short outside off delivery, but it was Sarfaraz Khan who made this a dismissal. Fourth umpire’s decision cost Delhi Capitals the match against CSK? On the third ball of the 19th over, Tristan Stubbs got caught out by Noor Ahmad on an outside off delivery by Jamie Overton. When the review was played, it turned out that Stubbs’ bat got twisted in his hand, possibly due to sweat on the ball he got out. Before that, during over-break, Stubbs was denied a glove exchange by the fourth umpire as Nitish Rana and Karun Nair were spotted having a chat with the fourth umpire. While walking back, Stubbs had an animated chat with the umpire, then he dropped the helmet on the stairs and was spotted throwing his helmet in the dressing room as soon as he entered. Tristan Stubbs was in red-hot form at that point, keeping DC’s hopes alive, but his dismissal acted as the final nail in the coffin for DC. So, his dismissal technically cost DC the game against CSK.
