Madhya Pradesh has brought a major opportunity for youths preparing for government jobs. The Police Headquarters, Bhopal, under the MP Police Band, has started the recruitment process for 679 posts of Constable (Band). A key highlight is that even candidates who have passed Class 8th and 10th are eligible to apply. The application process is completely online and will remain open from 5 April 2026 to 19 April 2026. Interested candidates can apply through the MP Online portal. Preference will be given to applicants having knowledge of musical instruments. This recruitment is being conducted under the Madhya Pradesh Police Headquarters, Bhopal. Selection will be made for Constable (Band) posts with the aim of strengthening the police band and including trained musicians. Recruitment for a total of 679 posts A total of 679 vacancies will be filled under this recruitment process, all for Constable (Band) posts. Candidates skilled in different musical instruments will be selected. Knowledge and experience in music and playing instruments is essential. The eligibility criteria also offer relaxation. For ST category, minimum qualification is Class 8th pass, while for SC, OBC, General and EWS candidates, minimum qualification is Class 10th pass. Knowledge of these musical instruments is necessary Applicants must have knowledge of various band instruments, including piccolo, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, bassoon, tuba, drums and others. Selection will be based on proficiency in these instruments. Online Application Process Interested candidates can apply through the MP Online website https://iforms.mponline.gov.in. The last date for application has been set as April 19, 2026. It will be mandatory for candidates to apply within the deadline. An application fee has also been set for recruitment. SC, ST, OBC and EWS categories will have to pay a fee of Rs 250 and the general category will have to pay Rs 500. Patriotic songs will be presented at Shahpura Lake To promote the recruitment drive and encourage youth participation, several programmes are being organised. On 12 April at Shahpura Lake, 13 April at Kamla Nagar, 14 April at TT Nagar bus stop, 16 April at Rani Kamalapati Railway Station, 18 April at DB Mall and 19 April at Kamla Park, the police band will perform patriotic and other songs.
