Earthquake tremors were felt in Mohipura village, Anjad police station area, Barwani district, on Wednesday afternoon at 12:48 PM. Its intensity was measured at 3.4 on the Richter scale. It is being reported that tremors were felt for approximately 2 minutes. As soon as the tremors were felt, villagers, scared, came out of their homes. The intensity of the earthquake was also recorded at 12:48 PM on the website of Indira Sagar Power Station’s seismic observatory and the National Centre for Seismology. Hukam Kumar, the operator of the earthquake center established in the city, said that the MEQ (Microearthquake) machine operates 24 hours a day. He informed that a report is issued daily in the morning from the Narmada Nagar (Punasa, Khandwa) Center. On Wednesday afternoon, activity was recorded in the Anjad area of Barwani district, the intensity of which was 3.4 on the Richter scale in the MEQ machine. This machine records the intensity of ground movement in an area of 40 to 50 kilometers.
