Johnson brings valuable experience, having played 13 international matches for Australia, including five ODIs and eight T20Is, picking up a total of 18 wickets. He is no stranger to the IPL either, having previously represented Gujarat Titans (GT) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the tournament. Sri Lankan pacer Matheesha Pathirana, who was signed by KKR for Rs 18 crore at the IPL auction, won’t be available for a few matches as well. SRH rope David Pyne for injured Jack Edwards David Payne has been signed by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) as a replacement for the injured Jack Edwards. The England pacer, who has played one ODI and a vast number of T20 matches, brings significant experience with 304 wickets from 233 T20 games. He has joined the franchise for ₹1.5 crore. Meanwhile, Jack Edwards, a 25-year-old seam-bowling all-rounder, was bought by SRH for ₹3 crore in the previous auction and was expected to make his IPL debut this season. However, his debut will now be delayed due to injury. Notably, he was the only uncapped overseas player picked during the 2025 auction.
