Bageshwar Maharaj has reacted strongly to the killing of Farsa Wale Baba, also known as Sadhu Chandrashekhar Singh (45), in Mathura. He has demanded the death penalty for those involved in the murder. Currently engaged in the worship of Mata Rani, Maharaj referred to the incident while addressing devotees during darshan on Saturday evening. He said he had received information about the killing and expressed deep concern over the matter. Calls Farsa Baba a ‘cow protector’ Pandit Dhirendra Shastri described Farsa Baba as a committed cow protector. He said Baba often confronted cattle smugglers directly and worked actively to stop such activities. He urged the government to take strict action and award the harshest punishment to those responsible. ‘Speaking for Hinduism should not invite threats’ Maharaj said the incident was deeply troubling and warned that such attacks could discourage people from standing up for Hinduism. “If those who speak for Sanatan are targeted like this, others will hesitate to come forward,” he said. Claims of threats and appeal for support He also claimed that he and his family regularly receive death threats and face conspiracies. Appealing to society, he said those working for Hinduism and Sanatan should be supported. “Even if you cannot fight yourself, at least stand with those who do,” he added. 2 Theories Emerged About Baba’s Death 1. Associates said – He was chasing cattle smugglers, they killed him by running him over with a truck The first theory was told by Baba’s companions and disciples. According to them, Farsa Wale Baba, who runs a cow shelter in Ajnaukh village of Barsana, received information that cattle were being transported in a truck on the National Highway in Kosi. Upon this, Baba left on a bike with two disciples. When they reached the Bathan Gate area on the National Highway in Kosi, they spotted the truck carrying cattle. When Baba tried to stop the truck, the smugglers increased its speed. After chasing for about 7 kilometers, Baba reached Navipur village in the Kotwan police post area. He overtook the truck, got off the bike, and stood in front of the truck. During this time, the truck increased its speed. Baba pushed both companions aside to safety. He himself came under the truck. He died on the spot. The companions took the body to Ajnaukh. A panchayat meeting was held there and it was decided to block the highway. 2. Police said – Life lost in road accident, situation deteriorated due to rumors In the case of Baba’s death, a statement was issued by the police and administration after about 2 hours of uproar. It was reported that at 4 AM, information was received about cattle being present in a vehicle at Haryana border police station area Kosi. Farsa Baba along with his disciples were stopping and checking a container with Nagaland number. The container was loaded with soap, phenyl, and shampoo. Due to dense fog, an oil-filled truck with Rajasthan number hit the container from behind. Baba died on the spot after being hit. The truck driver was also injured. He too died during treatment. Road blockade and stone pelting incidents occurred due to misleading information from people. People were explained the situation. Every aspect related to the incident will be investigated.
