Police have been accused of seizing ₹1 crore in cash from a Gujarat-registered car, but allegedly keeping ₹20 lakh and letting the accused go with the remaining amount. The most surprising turn came when, following a call from an IPS officer from Gujarat, the police reportedly returned the ₹20 lakh they had kept. Guna SP Ankit Soni said the matter has come to his notice, but no formal complaint has been filed so far. The vehicle owner has denied the incident, but an inquiry is underway. Senior officials from Gwalior are also monitoring the case and may reach Guna for investigation.
