Firing took place outside the house of farmer and businessman Dilip Singh Rathore in Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh. Three masked men on motorcycles opened fire outside the house and then fled towards Indore. The entire incident was captured on CCTV. The case is from Bhilgaon village in the Kasrawad police station area. According to initial information, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for the firing. Gang members Harry Boxer and Arju Bishnoi allegedly confirmed their involvement through social media posts. Since the incident, the family has been living in fear. Rathore’s son, Satyendra Rathore, has lodged a police complaint. See these pictures… Ransom demanded through calls and voice notes In his complaint, Satyendra said the family had gone to Indore on March 16. During this time, his father received multiple calls from international numbers. The callers also sent threats through WhatsApp calls and voice notes, demanding ₹10 crore as ransom. To prove their threat, the accused sent a video showing the firing outside the house. On March 17 and 18, the accused again made several calls from foreign numbers, but the family did not answer. Later, they sent voice messages threatening to blow up the house along with the family if the money was not paid. CCTV footage shows firing After returning from Indore, Satyendra checked the CCTV cameras installed at the house. The footage shows three bike-borne men stopping near the house and opening fire before fleeing the spot. Soon after, the family received further threats. Police begin investigation Khargone Rural Additional SP Shakuntala Ruhal said an FIR has been registered against unidentified persons. The police are investigating the case based on the complaint and the viral video. Call records and video evidence are being examined with the help of the cyber cell. A police team has been deployed outside the house as a precaution.
