Rajasthan faces 4-day storm rain alert:Hail falls amid sunshine in Hanumangarh; temperature drops to 3°C

Due to the effect of a western disturbance in Rajasthan, light rain occurred on Sunday in Alwar, Jhunjhunu, Hanumangarh, Bikaner, and Sriganganagar districts, with hail reported in some areas. In Sangaria of Hanumangarh, hailstones fell even amid strong sunshine during the day. The weather change led to a drop in temperature of up to 3°C, bringing relief from intense heat in many districts. The Meteorological Centre in Jaipur has forecast clear weather, sunshine, and a slight rise in temperature in the state from March 16 to 18. However, the weather is expected to change again from the evening of March 18, with warnings of thunderstorms, rain, and isolated hail in different areas until March 21. An alert has been issued for 12 districts on March 18. On Sunday, rain occurred in parts of Jhunjhunu and Alwar besides the Bikaner division. Early-morning showers, along with hail, were reported in Alwar, Jhunjhunu, and Pilani (Jhunjhunu), but the weather cleared later in the day, with sunshine. In the Sriganganagar and Hanumangarh regions, the weather changed during the day, with dusty winds, light cloud cover and light rain in some places, including parts of Sriganganagar.
