Man consumes poison after wife’s status calls him ‘headache’:Says she troubled him for 13 years, kept him away from children

A 35-year-old man died after consuming sulphas tablets in Madhya Pradesh’s Ratlam. A video recorded by the man before his death has surfaced, in which he says he took the extreme step due to alleged harassment by his wife and in-laws. The incident took place in the Station Road police station area. According to information, the deceased has been identified as Moinuddin Qazi (35), a resident of Unkala Road in Ratlam. He consumed sulphas tablets on Tuesday evening. When his condition deteriorated, family members rushed him to a hospital for treatment, where he died late at night. However, a video recorded by him before the suicide has surfaced. Police said the incident will be investigated considering all facts related to the allegations. A case has been registered. Said in video – You posted a status, I became a headache The man recorded the video inside a closed room. A box of sulphas tablets can be seen in his hand. Showing the box in the video, he takes his wife’s name and says she had posted a status saying he had become a headache for her. He says in the video, “You posted today that I have become a headache for you. Fine, no problem. Look, this is sulphas which I am going to consume. This is poison. Check it, these are sulphas tablets.” He further says that he is taking this step out of compulsion, as he had tried many times to persuade her. According to him, even if there were small arguments or disagreements between them, they could have resolved them together, but she repeated the same mistake every time. He says she called her family members — parents and brother — who came and took her away without listening to him. When he called her, he was allegedly threatened and told he would be beaten if he came to Ratlam. Said – I don’t want to fight In the video, the man also says that he does not want to fight with her anymore. He says he no longer has the strength left and is about to take such a step that will make everyone happy. He says she did not allow him to talk to his child and prevented him from speaking to Aasim. Showing the tablets, he says there are ten pills and he is going to consume them. He says he is making the video so that the world knows he had no debt. He claims his wife had troubled him a lot and that during their 13-year marriage she often went to stay at her parents’ home, refusing to speak to him or let him speak to the children. He also says that his daughters Asma and Fatima should be given to his mother, who will take care of them. You are responsible for making my children orphans The young man further said – I am now leaving this world. If I lose my life in this incident, only you (wife) will be responsible for it. You will also be responsible for making my children orphans. You kept the children away from their father. Your family members and parents are guilty for this step. They forced me to take this step.
