Car rams into bike on NH 43 in Katni:4 youths die in head-on collision, motorcycle crushed; identities still unknown

In Katni, a speeding car collided head-on with a bike. Four youths riding the bike died on the spot in the accident. The accident occurred in the Barwara police station area on Monday night, around 12 AM on National Highway-43 near Jagatpur Umaria. According to the police, four youths on a bike were going from Katni towards Umaria. Near Chapahani bend, close to Jagatpur Umaria village, they had a head-on collision with a speeding car coming from the opposite direction (Umaria). The collision was so severe that the bike was badly damaged. Hearing the sound of the collision, nearby villagers and passersby reached the spot. Traffic on the National Highway was disrupted for some time after the accident. On information from passersby, Barwara police and 108 ambulance reached the spot.
