After receiving the information, the CSP, the forensic science team (FSL) and police officials reached the spot and began the investigation. The woman is believed to be around 25 to 30 years old. Investigators have started examining CCTV footage from nearby areas as part of the probe. People returning from stadium discovered the body Around 9 am on Sunday, some people returning from a morning walk at a nearby stadium noticed a group of pigs gathered around a garbage heap. A herd of pigs surrounded the body The Additional SP said the body was found about 20 metres inside from the road leading from Ranital to Damoh Naka. Nearby slum residents had alerted the police. Officers are now showing the woman’s photographs to people in the surrounding area in an attempt to establish her identity. Police also confirmed injury marks on the neck and stomach. Local resident Chandan Patel said that around 9 am he heard people talking at Aga Chowk about a woman being murdered near the BJP office. When he reached the spot, pigs were surrounding the body and they had to be driven away by throwing stones. One woman at the spot said she recognised the deceased but did not know her home address. Police have begun efforts to identify the victim and investigate the incident. Deep wounds on neck and stomach FSL officer Dr Neeta Jain, who reached the scene, said the woman had deep injuries on her neck and stomach. She said the possibility of murder cannot be ruled out.
