A clip showing a cannon being fired from the historic Raisen Fort in support of Iran has gone viral on social media. The video surfaced days after the United States and Israel attacked Iran, escalating tensions in the Middle East and Gulf region. The footage allegedly shows a group of youths firing a cannon from the fort while raising religious slogans. In a separate incident in Bhopal, posters of US President Donald Trump were reportedly trampled during a gathering at a mosque. Cannon fired from Raisen Fort In the viral video, four young men can be seen standing on the ramparts of the historic Raisen Fort. They are heard shouting “Allahu Akbar” and expressing support for Iran. One of them approaches a cannon placed on the fort and lights it with a matchstick. Moments later, the cannon fires, sending a cloud of smoke across the surrounding area, while the city can be seen in the background. The video also purportedly claims that Indian Muslims will not be afraid and will continue to stand firm. See these 3 pictures Video posted on social media The video was reportedly posted from a social media account named “danish_star_.” According to reports, it has been viewed by around 4,000 people, received over 100 comments, and has been shared about 1,200 times. The caption of the post reads “Bharat ke Musalman”. The video has not been deleted yet and is spreading rapidly on social media. Possibly linked to Ramadan Iftar announcement The video surfaced online on Saturday. Some youths in Bhopal reportedly recorded the footage at the time the cannon was fired. It is being claimed that the cannon was fired during Ramadan to signal the time for breaking the fast (iftar). However, the authenticity of the video has not yet been officially confirmed. NHRC member raises concern National Human Rights Commission member Priyank Kanoongo raised concerns about the viral video on social media. He said that an illegal country-made cannon was fired from the ramparts of the Raisen Fort, which is a protected monument under the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). He alleged that the act could endanger nearby residential areas and spread fear in the name of Iran and Ramadan. Demand for strict action Kanoongo demanded strict action against those involved. He said officials of the Archaeological Survey of India and the local administration should register cases against the youths for making illegal weapons, firing explosives, spreading panic, and damaging an archaeological heritage site. He also stated that notices are being sent for action and that government officials must ensure rules are followed. Administration says investigation underway Raisen Tehsildar Bharat Mandre said the administration has received information about the video. He added that the police station has been informed and legal action will be taken after an investigation. Trump posters trampled in Bhopal In a separate incident in Bhopal’s Narela Assembly constituency, posters of US President Donald Trump were allegedly placed on the ground and trampled during a program at Masjid Garib Nawaz in Bismillah Colony. During the event, participants reportedly raised slogans such as “Israel Murdabad” and “America Murdabad.” Religious leader’s statement Maulana Raj-ul-Hasan Haidari, speaking at the gathering, said that powerful countries in the world are oppressing the weak. He accused Israel and the United States of having the blood of innocent people on their hands. During his speech, the cleric also compared Donald Trump to an animal while criticizing US policies. Authorities have not yet announced any official action regarding the Bhopal incident.
