A man died of a silent heart attack on Thursday night at a hotel near Gwaltoli Railway Station in Narmadapuram. The incident occurred while he was serving food to customers. Suddenly, while placing vegetables on a plate, he collapsed. The CCTV footage of the incident surfaced on Saturday morning. The deceased was identified as Ashok Navalani (60), a resident of Sindhi Colony in Gokulpuri. He ran the hotel with his brother Pappan Navalani. The video shows that when he collapsed, people nearby initially did not understand what had happened. A few moments later, hotel staff and his brother, Pappan Navalani, rushed to lift him. CPR given, but could not be revived His brother and other people present at the scene tried to administer CPR. He was then immediately taken to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared him dead. Hotel owner Pappan Navalani said that his elder brother, Ashok Navalani, previously worked with coolers. For some time, both of them were running a hotel together named ‘Chacha-Bhatija’ (Uncle-Nephew). On Thursday night, too, both were at the shop. I was making vegetables. Brother was serving food to customers at their tables. To prepare a plate for a customer, he placed one vegetable. Before placing the second vegetable, he fell to the ground. I gave him CPR, but his brother had become unconscious. He was breathing, but there was no movement in his hands and feet. Brother Pappan Navalani said, We are 6 brothers, among whom Ashok was the eldest. He has one daughter, who is married. Brother had experienced anxiety or low blood pressure issues two-three times in the summers over the past three years. There was no heart-related problem.
