A sensational case of gang rape of a 20-year-old woman has come to light in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. The incident took place on 19 February, but surfaced only after the victim’s health deteriorated. Acting swiftly, Dabra Rural Police Station arrested all three accused named in the complaint. Police are also examining the criminal background of the accused. Kidnapped Near Aunt’s Shop According to police, the young woman from a village in the Dabra rural area had gone to stay at her aunt’s house on 10 February. On 19 February around 8 PM, she stepped out to eat tikki at a nearby stall. At that time, two youths arrived on a TamTam (e-rickshaw), forcibly covered her mouth and made her sit in the vehicle. On the way, they picked up another accomplice and took the woman to a college campus near Aru Tiraha, where all three allegedly raped her one after another. Victim Stayed Silent Due to Threats The next morning, on 20 February, the accused dropped the woman near her aunt’s shop and threatened to kill her if she revealed the incident. Out of fear, she remained silent for several days. However, when her health deteriorated, she eventually narrated the ordeal to her aunt. Police Raid Leads to Arrest On Friday evening, family members took the victim to Dabra Rural Police Station. Considering the seriousness of the allegations, police registered a case of kidnapping and gang rape late at night and launched raids, arresting all three accused.
