A farmer was shot dead by a history-sheeter criminal and his accomplices in Satna district of Madhya Pradesh. The attackers fired five bullets at the farmer, causing his death on the spot due to heavy blood loss. The farmer’s son was also shot at during the attack and is seriously injured. According to police, the accused has been identified as Chandan Yadav, a resident of the same village. Farmer shot five times died due to blood loss Police said that two bullets hit the farmer’s back, while one bullet each struck his stomach, neck and ribs. Due to the severe injuries and excessive bleeding, he died at the spot before he could receive medical help. Accused out on parole did not return During the attack, the accused also fired at the farmer’s son. He suffered serious injuries and was later taken for treatment. Police said Chandan Yadav is a history-sheeter and several criminal cases are already registered against him. He had come out of jail on one-month parole in December 2025, but did not return after the parole period ended. Since then, police have been searching for him. After the murder, the accused and his accomplices fled from the spot. Police teams have been formed to trace and arrest them. Slapped the criminal’s younger brother According to the police, on Wednesday evening, Chandan’s younger brother, Sharad Yadav, was verbally abusing the villagers. Abhay alias Bablu Yadav (50) scolded him and slapped him twice. Angered by this, Sharad called his brother Chandan and spoke of taking revenge for the insult. Around 9:30 PM on Thursday night, Chandan reached Barapathar village with his 5 companions. At that time, Abhay was walking on the roof of his house. Chandan pulled out a pistol and fired indiscriminately at Abhay. Abhay was hit by a total of 5 bullets. He died on the spot. Son shot, bullets hit leg After this, Chandan and all the accused reached the grocery store of Abhay’s son, Rana Yadav (25), about one kilometer away from the village. They fired several rounds at him. To save his life, Rana ran away from the shop, but he was hit by two bullets in his right leg. He was seriously injured. After this, Chandan called Abhay’s younger son, Raja Yadav, and threatened to kill the entire family. Injured son admitted to private hospital Upon receiving information from the family, Nagod police station in-charge Ashok Pandey reached the spot with his team, but the accused fled. Police kept Abhay Yadav’s body in the mortuary for post-mortem, while Rana was taken to Civil Hospital Nagod. After primary treatment there, he was referred to Satna District Hospital. After treatment at the district hospital, his family took him to a private hospital. Police raid in search of the accused Currently, the police from Nagod and surrounding police stations are searching for Chandan Yadav and his associates.
