Renault’s new Compact SUV to compete with Thar Jimny:Bridger’s starting price expected to be ₹10 lakh

French car company Renault is preparing to launch a new SUV smaller than 4-meters in India. The company has revealed the name of its upcoming car, which will be launched as the ‘Renault Bridger’. Renault will present the car’s concept model on March 10 during its Global Strategic Plan. The new compact SUV has been designed in India. It has been created keeping in mind urban families who want a small but spacious SUV. It will be launched with 6 airbags and a turbo engine. In India, it will compete with Maruti Suzuki Jimny and Mahindra Thar (3-door RWD). Could arrive in Indian market by 2027 The Renault Brezer concept model will be presented for now. According to reports, its production version could be launched in India by the end of 2027. The company may launch it at a starting price of around ₹10 lakh. Bookings have not started yet. Exterior: Muscular front grille with LED lighting setup The most special thing about the Brezer is its length. It will be a sub-4-meter car, making it easy to drive and park in traffic. However, the company has not yet revealed the complete look. It is expected to feature a muscular front grille like the Renault Duster, high ground clearance and sporty wheel arches. It may come with modern LED lighting setup and stylish alloy wheels, which will give it a premium urban SUV look. Interior: Spacious cabin despite compact size Renault claims that despite being compact in size, the ‘Breezr’ will be quite spacious inside. Its interior has been smartly designed so that legroom and headroom are not compromised even in the small size. It is expected to come with the latest touchscreen infotainment system, digital cluster and premium dashboard layout. Since it is designed for urban families, it may also feature several smart storage spaces. Performance: Turbo petrol engine with automatic gearbox The Renault Breizher is being promoted as an ‘Urban SUV’, but it will directly compete with off-roading look cars like Jimny and Thar. It may use Renault’s existing turbo petrol engine, which will provide a balance of good power and better mileage. The company may offer both automatic and manual gearbox options. Safety Features: 6 Airbags and 360-degree Camera The Renault Breizher may come with at least 6 airbags, ABS with EBD and features like Electronic Stability Control (ESC). Additionally, top variants may include advanced features like ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) and 360-degree camera.
