An elderly man died in Chhatarpur district headquarters after he could not get an ambulance in time. Suspecting a heart attack, family members rushed him to hospital in a loader vehicle, while his son kept giving CPR throughout the journey, but it was too late by the time they arrived. Doctors examined him and declared him dead. The deceased was identified as 65-year-old Jagdish Vishwakarma, a resident of Talgaon village under Rajnagar police station area. He had come to the city with his son Santosh Vishwakarma. Near Barkonha village, his health suddenly worsened. He complained of severe chest pain and difficulty breathing. No ambulance available, had to take by loader vehicle According to relatives, no ambulance was available at the spot. In compulsion, they took him to Chhatarpur district hospital in a loader vehicle. As his condition worsened on the way, his son Santosh tried to give CPR inside the moving vehicle. Eyewitnesses said traffic congestion in the city delayed the vehicle’s arrival at the hospital. Some people stepped forward and cleared the way, after which the loader managed to reach the hospital. Doctor said – Death occurred before reaching the hospital Duty doctors said the patient was brought in a serious condition with chest pain, but on examination he was found dead. The Civil Surgeon also clarified that the patient was brought in a “brought dead” state, meaning he had already died before reaching the hospital. Prima facie, the cause of death is believed to be a heart attack. However, the exact cause could only have been confirmed after a post-mortem, but the family took the body home without getting one done.
