Bodies of lover found hanging from noose in MP’s Shivpuri:Boy released on bail, body found next day; no suicide note found

The bodies of a lover and his minor girlfriend were found hanging from the same noose in Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh. The couple had been missing from their homes since February 24. Their bodies were found in a field on Guda Road on Wednesday morning. A mangalsutra was also found around the minor’s neck. The incident falls under the Kolaras police station area. According to information, the deceased youth has been identified as 19-year-old Jitendra Dhakad, a resident of Madanpur. The girl’s age is reported to be 17 years. According to initial information, both had been in a romantic relationship for a long time. Police had arrested the youth in 2025 According to police, in October 2025, Jitendra had eloped with the minor. When their daughter went missing, the family filed a complaint at the Badarwas police station. After the FIR, police searched for the accused and the minor. Jitendra was arrested on November 8, 2025. Police rescued the minor girl from the accused. After the medical examination, the minor was handed over to her family. Based on the minor’s statement, sections of the POCSO Act, along with rape charges, were added against the accused. He was presented in court, from where the court sent him to jail. Released on bail on February 1, hanged on February 24 According to police, the accused Jitendra was released on bail on February 11. After this, he contacted the girl. On February 24, both went missing from their respective homes. On the morning of February 25, they were found hanging from a neem tree in a field located on Guda Road. The minor girl’s grandparents’ village is reported to be located near the incident site. A mangalsutra was also found around the minor’s neck. Currently, it is not clear whether this is a case of suicide or if there are other reasons behind it.
