A gas cylinder exploded during a wedding reception in Bhopal. The blast was so powerful that the sound was heard several kilometers away, while flames rose up to 50 feet high. The fire caused panic. People attending the wedding started running here and there. The incident occurred around 10 PM on Monday. A wedding reception was going on late night at Hotel Play and Resort in Bhaunri when this accident happened. According to eyewitnesses, the fire likely started due to a short circuit. During this, a gas cylinder kept there exploded. There was no loss of life, but goods worth lakhs of rupees were reduced to ashes. The firefighting operation continued until 12 midnight. Fire tenders from Gandhinagar, Bairagarh, and Fatehgarh fire stations reached the spot. Panic Among People During the reception, a fire incident at the hotel and resort created an atmosphere of terror. People attending the wedding started running away. Fortunately, no one was present at the location where the fire broke out. Eyewitnesses reported that vehicles were parked where the cylinder blast occurred just moments before.
