In Shivpuri district, a Lady Community Health Officer (CHO) attempted suicide, accusing senior officers of harassment. She consumed 20 blood pressure control pills at once in the office itself. She has been admitted to Shivpuri Medical College for treatment. The incident occurred in Kolaras on Tuesday afternoon, around 12:30 PM. Here, CHO Dr. Sheetal Sisodia, posted at Ayushman Arogya Mandir, Atamanpur, consumed BP pills. Shortly after, she started convulsing. Fellow employees immediately took her to Kharai Sub Health Centre, where Dr Prateek Srivastava provided first aid. She was then referred to the Medical College. Dr. Sheetal is the mother of a one-year-old child. Her husband, Dr. Vikas Tomar, has filed a complaint at Tendua police station, accusing Block Medical Officer (BMO) Dr. Sanjay Rathore and Accountant Sanjay Jain of harassment. Currently, the police are investigating the matter. Allegation – Threatened to cut salary by issuing a notice Dr Sheetal’s husband, Dr Vikas Tomar, told the police that Kolaras BMO Dr Sanjay Rathore and accountant Sanjay Jain were continuously mentally harassing his wife. They used to hold video conferences until 11 PM. According to Dr Vikas, if his wife couldn’t join the meeting due to network issues in the village, she was issued a notice and threatened with a salary cut. Despite having a one-year-old child, she went to duty on time every day and worked honestly. Despite this, repeated notices and punitive actions caused her deep stress. Dr Vikas Tomar said that if anything happens to his wife, the full responsibility for it will lie with the concerned officials. Clarification – Notice given, but no one’s salary was deducted BMO Dr. Sanjay Rathore has clarified these allegations. He said that regular inspections and meetings via Google Meet are conducted to get work done by subordinate staff. Notices were indeed given to Sheetal Sisodia for negligence in work, but no employee’s salary has been deducted.
