In a significant action against drug trafficking in Indore, a woman from the Malharganj area alerted the police and got her own husband arrested on charges of selling ganja and smack. On Monday, the woman called Police Commissioner Santosh Singh and alleged that her husband, Buddh Kiran, was supplying narcotics to college and hostel students. She also sent a video related to drug dealing to the Commissioner. After reviewing the footage, the Commissioner immediately ordered action, leading to a late-night police raid on a paan shop in Mahalakshmi Nagar, where Buddh Kiran was arrested. After his arrest, police took accused Buddh Kiran to his house, where ganja was seized. During interrogation by Lasudia police, he revealed that he procured narcotics from Dharmendra near Sanawad and another supplier from the Chhoti Gwaltoli area. Drug trade affects daughters’ studies The woman, a resident of Malharganj, is an accountant by profession. She told the Police Commissioner that her husband runs a large-scale paan shop. For some time now, he has been selling ganja and packets of narcotics by keeping a weighing scale at home. I have two daughters. Due to this activity of her husband, their studies are also being badly affected. Husband and in-laws intimidate people The woman stated that when she opposes this illegal work, her husband and in-laws intimidate her. Due to this, on February 4, her husband assaulted her, resulting in serious head injuries. She had informed the police about this even then, but ganja was not seized at that time. Incident reported to Commissioner through lawyer High Court Advocate Dr. Rupali Rathore stated that the victim had informed her about cannabis being kept in the house.
