A woman was shot dead by her husband after a late-night argument in Gwalior on Saturday. The incident took place around 11 pm near Model School in Darpan Colony, under the Thatipur police station area. The woman has been identified as Ruchi Tomar, 45. Police said her husband, Sonu Tomar, argued with her at home. The argument soon turned violent. In anger, Sonu allegedly pulled out a country-made pistol and fired three to four rounds. One bullet hit Ruchi in the chest, killing her on the spot. Police said the couple had a domestic dispute before the shooting. After receiving information, the police reached the spot and began an investigation. Accused fled when family members reached the room Hearing the sound of the gunshot, family members reached the room, but by then Sonu had fled the house. The woman was found lying bleeding on the floor. The incident was immediately reported to the police. Police and ambulance arrived at the scene, but by then Ruchi’s life could not be saved. A forensic team was called to the spot. Senior police officers were also present in the investigation. SSP said – Murder in domestic dispute Local people said that the entire neighborhood was in panic after hearing the sound of gunshots. Some heard three and some heard four-five gunshots. Police are raiding the accused’s house and other locations in search of him. SSP Dharamveer Singh said that this murder occurred due to a domestic dispute and action is underway for the arrest of the accused.
