In Tikamgarh, a team from the Mineral Department faced an attack while attempting to stop illegal murum mining. Police have registered cases against five people under sections including obstruction of government work. Meanwhile, two laborers from the other side have also accused the mineral team of assault, though no action has been taken against them so far. The incident took place on Friday evening, and a video surfaced on Saturday. According to Mineral Officer Vipul Rawat, information had been received about illegal mining on the hill near the sheep farm in Minaura village. When the team reached the site, illegal murum mining was underway using a tractor. Upon seeing the team, the people mining fled, abandoning the tractor. While fleeing, one laborer fell and sustained a head injury. Attackers came on bikes and scooters While the mineral team was returning with the seized tractor, four people arrived on bikes and scooters, placing their vehicles in front of the tractor to try and free it. During this confrontation, the situation escalated and a fight broke out. Mineral Inspector Kuldeep Jain sustained a head injury. The Kotwali police have registered cases against five people, including Arvind Rai, Ravi Rai, Jitendra Rai (residents of Kundeshwar) and Chandu Adivasi (resident of Minaura). Workers accused team of assault Meanwhile, two laborers injured in the incident came to the Kotwali police station to file complaints, accusing the mineral team of assault. Kotwali Station In-Charge Brijendra Singh Ghosh said that both parties have been directed to undergo medical examinations. Legal action will be taken after the medical reports are received.
