14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi created many records by playing an innings of 175 runs in the Under-19 World Cup. At Harare Cricket Ground, Vaibhav hit 15 fours and 15 sixes, meaning 150 runs were scored just from boundaries. Thanks to his innings, India posted a score of 411 runs in 50 overs. In response, England’s team was bowled out for 311 runs in 40.2 overs. India won the match by 100 runs to claim the title for the sixth time. Vaibhav scored the second fastest century in the final match Vaibhav became the second batsman to score the fastest century in the Under-19 World Cup. He scored his century in 55 balls. Australia’s Will Malaijczuk tops this list. He smashed a century in just 51 balls against Japan in the same World Cup. 7. Suryavanshi hit 30 sixes in this Under-19 World Cup Vaibhav Suryavanshi now holds the record for most sixes in the Under-19 World Cup. He achieved the feat of becoming the biggest six-hitter in a single edition by hitting 30 sixes in the current tournament. Previously, this record was held by South Africa’s Dewald Brevis, who hit 18 sixes in 2022. In overall statistics, the joint highest record was also 18 sixes, where New Zealand’s Finn Allen had hit the same number of sixes combining the 2016 and 2018 editions.
