Madhya Pradesh is experiencing a spell of intense cold in early February. Northern districts of the state are reporting low temperatures, while Gwalior, Khajuraho, and ten other cities recorded minimum temperatures below 10°C last night. Katni, Shahdol, and Chhatarpur are among the coldest districts. Cold winds are expected to continue today and tomorrow. Minimum temperatures recorded According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), temperatures on Thursday night were particularly low in Katni’s Karaundi area at 5.6°C. Other cities reported: In total, 11 cities in the state recorded temperatures below 10°C. Light fog expected today Saturday morning is seeing light to moderate fog in parts of the state. Districts in the Gwalior-Chambal, Sagar, Rewa, and Ujjain divisions are most affected. Weather forecast for next two days A new Western Disturbance is expected to affect the state from 8 February, with potential showers from 10 February.
