harshit-rana-ruled-out-of-t20-wc-with-knee-injury:suryakumar-yadav-says,-‘will-try-to-pick-best-replacement’

Indian pacer Harshit Rana has been ruled out of the upcoming T20 World Cup 2026 with a knee injury. According to IANS, Rana sustained a knee injury against South Africa as he limped off during the warm-up fixture. Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav said that the Indian team will try to pick the best possible replacement for Harshit. “We will see which fast bowlers have done well in last 1-2 years or bowlers who can bat. But if you are expecting a No 9 to hit out, what are the top eight doing. We will try to pick the best one,” said Suryakumar, according to PTI. Harshit Rana ruled out of T20 World Cup Harshit has been India’s third pacer and a go-to bowler in all formats. He was likely to be an integral part of the Indian playing XI as the third pacer behind Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh. Rana could only pick up two wickets against New Zealand in the recently concluded five-match T20I series. With an improved batting performance in recent games, Harshit’s absence will not only weaken India’s bowling but the batting depth as well.
