Two boys aged 15–16 have been held for creating AI-generated pornographic photos and videos of at least nine girls. During police questioning, they admitted they did it because they were curious. “We wanted to see how the girls we live around would look without clothes,” the boys told investigators. Police said the accused did not try to blackmail anyone or make money. Instead, they paid Rs 549 to use AI tools, created explicit content, and uploaded it on social media. Case reported in Chhindwara The case came to light on 24 January in Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh, under the Kotwali police station area. According to Station House Officer Ashish Kumar, three girls from the Nagpur Road area went to the police with a complaint. They said their normal photos had been edited using Artificial Intelligence to create obscene images and pornographic videos, which were then shared online. Because of the seriousness of the complaint, police immediately involved the cyber crime team. Read the report… Victim’s statement: “He showed us the nude images” One of the victims told police that around 11 pm on 24 January, a boy from her neighbourhood called her outside and showed her AI-generated nude photos of her two friends on the Telegram app. She said she scolded him and checked his phone, where she found the obscene images had been shared with others on WhatsApp. She informed her friends and their families, and all three girls went to the police station to file a complaint. How the fake content was created Police investigation revealed that: The boys admitted they first searched for adult content on Telegram, joined porn groups, and later found a link offering AI-generated nude photos and videos. After paying Rs 549, they could upload any photo and receive: Data deleted, recovery under way Before police could seize the phones, much of the data had been deleted. Argument between boys exposed the crime Police said the case came to light after a fight between two boys over a girlfriend. During the argument, it emerged that explicit images were circulating on minors’ phones. One accused tried to silence a victim by showing her the images, believing she would be scared. Instead, she showed courage, checked his phone, contacted other victims, and went to the police.
