The schedule for the T20 World Cup warm-up matches has been released. These matches will be played between 2nd and 6th February. The warm-up matches will be played at 7 different venues. The England team will not participate in the warm-up matches. While big teams like Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, and the West Indies will play only one match each. The Indian team will also play one warm-up match, which will be against South Africa on 4th February at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. India A team will play in the remaining 2 warm-up matches. Tilak Varma is also to feature in one warm-up match BCCI has also announced the India A team for the warm-up matches along with the schedule. It will be captained by Ayush Badoni. Tilak Varma is also part of this team. So all eyes will be set on him as he has to prove his fitness by playing at least one match. This match will be played at Ground-1 of the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. On the other hand, India A team will play against the United States of America (USA) at Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium. On the first day, Canada and Italy’s match will be played in Chennai. World Cup to start from 7th February The T20 World Cup will begin on 7th February in Colombo with the match between the Netherlands and Pakistan. While India’s first match will be played against the USA in Mumbai. The final match will be played on 8th March. The venue for this match will be decided based on whether Pakistan reaches the final or not.
