Seven districts of Haryana are expected to directly benefit from the Central Government’s Budget 2026. Airstrips in Ambala, Hisar, and Karnal will be developed for seaplanes. Furthermore, Gurugram and Faridabad will become hubs for small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) manufacturing aircraft components. Panchkula will be developed as a pharma hub. Companies like Associated Biopharma and Biophar Lifesciences in Panchkula manufacture tablets, capsules, syrups, and herbal medicines, all of which comply with World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines. Industrial Model Townships (IMTs) located in Kharkhoda, Sonipat, and Manesar, Gurugram, will be promoted, which will provide employment to the youth. Union Budget 2026: Big push for Haryana’s industry and infrastructure The Union Budget 2026 has outlined several initiatives that are expected to benefit Haryana’s industrial, pharmaceutical, aviation, and infrastructure sectors. While the ruling BJP has welcomed the announcements, opposition parties have criticised the budget, claiming the state has been ignored. Cheaper medicines to be made in Panchkula Under the ₹10,000 crore Biopharma Shakti scheme, Haryana’s pharmaceutical sector is set to receive a major boost. The investment will promote research and domestic manufacturing of medicines for serious diseases like cancer and diabetes. Pharma hubs such as Panchkula, where companies like Associated Biopharma and Medroots Biopharma operate, are expected to expand production of tablets, capsules, and Ayurvedic medicines, making treatments more affordable. Aircraft parts manufacturing at Hisar airport The budget has removed taxes on aircraft parts, encouraging domestic manufacturing. This move is expected to attract foreign investment to cities like Gurugram and Faridabad. The upcoming Hisar Airport will house aircraft repair facilities and parts manufacturing units, helping Haryana move towards self-reliance in aviation manufacturing and generating new employment opportunities. RRTS and EV charging projects Funding announced for RRTS corridors, such as Delhi–Gurugram–Faridabad and EV charging infrastructure is expected to benefit Haryana significantly. With a capital expenditure of ₹12.2 lakh crore, the government aims to strengthen rail, road, and Industrial Model Township (IMT) expansion. IMTs in Kharkhoda and Manesar are likely to attract fresh investments, creating large-scale employment. MSME and semiconductor push Provisions for India Semiconductor Mission 2.0 are expected to strengthen Haryana’s electronics, automobile, and manufacturing sectors. The focus on MSMEs, startups, and biopharma is expected to create skilled jobs for the youth. CM Saini welcomes budget Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said the budget’s capital expenditure and ₹10,000 crore MSME provision would accelerate industrial growth. He also highlighted investments in AI, the Quantum Mission, and archaeological sites like Rakhigarhi. Opposition calls it step-motherly treatment Congress leaders Randeep Singh Surjewala and Deepender Hooda criticised the budget, alleging Haryana was sidelined. INLD leader Abhay Chautala also termed it “all words, no action,” claiming no concrete benefits were announced for the state.
