A medical student died after allegedly jumping from the fourth floor of an apartment building in Jabalpur on Saturday morning. The incident occurred at Yash Heights Apartments in Dhanwantari Nagar under the Sanjeevani Nagar police station area. Upon receiving information, police rushed to the spot and sent the body to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College Hospital for post-mortem examination. Preliminary investigation suggests the student may have died by suicide, though police say all angles are being examined. Victim identified as Datia resident Police identified the deceased as Bhanu Mohar, a 29-year-old resident of Datia district. He was a student of Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College. No suicide note was recovered from the scene, leaving the exact reason behind the incident unclear. Incident reported around 6 am City Superintendent of Police (CSP) MD Nagotia said police received information around 6 am that a young man living in the apartment had jumped from the fourth floor. When police reached the spot, a security guard and several local residents were present. Initial inquiry revealed that Bhanu had been living alone in a rented flat at Yash Heights for the past six months. Room sealed, family informed Police have sealed the student’s room and informed his family members, who are expected to arrive soon. Further action will be taken after their arrival. A panchnama has been prepared and an investigation has been initiated.
