The sensational stabbing incident that took place near Kalani Nagar intersection in Indore has shaken the entire city. The case which police had earlier considered a normal mutual dispute and resolved through counseling a few days ago, has now escalated to the death of a young man, injury of two women, and the accused’s suicidal step. Question raised police’s role This entire sequence of events has also raised serious questions about the police’s working style. Not only was a written complaint filed at the police station before the incident, but an apology letter was also submitted by the accused party. In this case, an audio of the accused has also emerged for the first time, which testifies to his dangerous intentions. Read the report… The complaint that went unheard The story begins with a complaint from a young woman Vidhi Lakhawat, who was being harassed by her friend Vedant Solanki for quite some time. When friendship turned into obsession and torment, Vidhi filed a written complaint at Aerodrome police station on January 23. This complaint letter describes the fear and pain she was going through. Read the complaint letter that Vidhi wrote to the Station In-charge I, Vidhi Lakhawat, want to file a complaint through this letter against Vedant Solanki who has been mentally and physically harassing me for quite some time. We met at an eye hospital. We became friends there, when I started understanding his wrong intentions, I tried to distance myself from him. He started threatening me, abusing me, and threatening to harm my family. On January 13th, when I refused to accompany him and blocked him, he sent our photos to my family. He is now blackmailing me saying that he will defame me in society. He will make my life difficult. He repeatedly calls my clinic trying to get my information. On the morning of January 21, he came outside the clinic and blocked my way. He is trying to blackmail me by pretending to drink acid and coming from the hospital. His aunt is repeatedly trying to talk to me. She also came to my clinic yesterday. She said he left after writing a note. Then shortly after, that same boy called. The aunt was with him then. He came again in the evening when I was leaving. He sat on my car. He tried to forcibly take me away. When I called my father, he snatched the phone and put it in his pocket. I do not want to maintain any relationship with him or his family. Therefore, I request that action be taken considering the seriousness of this matter. Police counseling and accused’s written apology After this complaint, police called both parties to the station. Vedant was warned not to maintain any contact with Vidhi or her family in future. Two days later, on January 25, Vedant Solanki submitted a written apology at the police station. This apology gave the family false assurance that perhaps everything would be alright now. Read what the accused youth wrote in the apology I, Vedant Solanki, age 24 years, resident of Bijasan Colony Indore. I used to talk with Vidhi Lakhawat. If Vidhi does not want to talk to me then I will also not talk to her and will never call or message her. I will not stop her on the way, if I call or harass Vidhi then appropriate action should be taken against me. Bloody scene on Monday night The very next day after the apology letter, on January 26, Monday night around 10 PM, Vedant Solanki arrived at Vidhi’s house in Kalani Nagar with a knife. At that time, Vidhi, her mother Anita, and brother Vidhan were present in the house. Before the family could understand anything, Vedant launched an attack as soon as he entered the house. When brother Vidhan tried to save his sister, Vedant repeatedly stabbed him with the knife. He also attacked mother Anita who ran to save her son, causing her serious injuries. Screams and cries filled the house. Vidhan was badly wounded in the attack. He was immediately taken to nearby Aurobindo Hospital, but died during treatment due to severe injuries. In this attack, Vidhi was also injured, while mother Anita’s condition remains serious. Accused’s audio surfaces for the first time After carrying out this bloody act, accused Vedant attempted suicide by stabbing himself in the stomach. Upon receiving information about the incident, Aerodrome TI Tarun Bhati reached the spot with police force. Police managed to apprehend the injured accused after considerable effort. He was admitted to MY Hospital, where his condition is now reported to be out of danger. According to police, the accused Vedant’s parents have passed away. He lives with his uncle and aunt. Another shocking evidence has now emerged in this case. An audio clip of accused Vedant is going viral. This audio is not of his conversation with Vidhi, but of a conversation with a common friend. Vedant’s audio clip surfaces after murder In this audio, Vedant repeatedly mentions Vidhi. His words clearly reflect that despite the apology letter, his mind was filled with anger, stubbornness and feelings of revenge. This audio is solid evidence that he was constantly trying to build pressure. His mental state was not good. Police are now investigating this audio. Mother admitted in hospital, still unaware of son’s death The most painful and sensitive aspect of this entire tragedy is that mother Anita, who is fighting between life and death in the hospital, still doesn’t know that her son Vidhan is no longer in this world. The family and doctors together have hidden this truth from her, as they fear she won’t be able to bear the shock of her son’s death. Whenever Anita regains consciousness and asks about her son, family members avoid it by saying that he is undergoing treatment. He is fine. Family members wipe their tears outside the hospital and stand before the mother with fake smiles. In the same house, there is mourning for the son’s death and a lie of hope about his being alive in front of the mother – this family is going through this double pain.
