People grew angry after spotting four youths allegedly performing black magic at a crematorium in Ratlam. They first scolded the youths and then assaulted them. During the chaos, two of the youths managed to flee, while villagers caught the other two and tied them to a pole. The villagers intended to hand the two youths over to the police, but they were later released following the intervention of a community leader. The incident took place on Wednesday night at Ukhediya village under the Jawara Industrial Police Station area. A video of the incident surfaced on Friday. Two of the four accused fled According to information, a local villager had noticed four youths performing rituals at Mukti Dham in Ukhediya using lemons, eggs, country-made liquor and worship materials, while chanting mantras. He informed other villagers about the incident. When villagers reached the crematorium, all four youths panicked. Two were caught by the villagers, while the remaining two fled the spot. The two youths who were caught were tied to a pole inside the Mukti Dham premises by villagers and beaten. During the assault, the youths repeatedly pleaded with the villagers to call the village watchman, but their requests were ignored. Their clothes were torn due to the beating, and they sustained bleeding injuries. Villagers alleged that the youths had come to the cremation ground to perform black magic in pursuit of hypnotic powers and wealth. Police said – Will question the concerned people
On receiving information about the commotion, police from Sarsi outpost also arrived at night, but by then everyone had left the spot. Jaora Industrial Police Station in-charge Vikram Singh Chauhan said- No complainant has come forward in this case. Based on the viral video on social media, the concerned people will be questioned and investigated. Necessary action will be taken after investigation.
