The case of the elderly man’s death near Balaji Palace Marriage Garden in Morena has now turned suspicious. Initially reported as a road accident, CCTV footage that surfaced seven days later has raised questions over the entire sequence of events. The footage clearly shows that the elderly man was run over not by one, but by two vehicles consecutively, after which he died on the spot. The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon, January 22. 65-year-old Munna Sharma was returning home when, upon reaching Balaji Palace Marriage Garden Road, a speeding Scorpio hit him from behind, crushing him before moving forward. About 10 seconds later, a white Swift car also ran over Munna Sharma lying on the road, leading to his death on the spot. Family members allege murder Initially, the city Kotwali police treated the case as a road accident. However, the deceased’s family suspects premeditated murder, saying that being run over consecutively by two cars could not be a normal accident. CCTV footage found after seven days After the death, the family had already performed the last rites but continued seeking the truth. Following a search of nearby cameras, CCTV footage was recovered seven days later, capturing the full incident. The video shows a white Scorpio without a number plate running over the elderly man first, followed by a white Swift car. Suspicion of conspiracy related to interest lending According to the family, Munna Sharma had been engaged in lending money at interest for a long period and held a license for it. The family suspects that a grudge or conspiracy regarding money given to someone could be involved.
