Bhopal gets new police commissioner Sanjay Kumar:Harinarayan Chari moved to SCRB; 14 IPS officers shifted in MP, Umesh Joga becomes new transport commissioner

The Madhya Pradesh Home Department has issued transfer orders for 14 IPS officers. Under the order, Balaghat range IG Sanjay Kumar has been appointed as the new police commissioner of Bhopal. The current commissioner, Harinarayan Chari Mishra, has been posted as IG, State Crime Records Bureau (SCRB) at the police headquarters. Meanwhile, Ujjain range ADG Umesh Joga has been appointed as transport commissioner. His services have been transferred to the Transport Department. Pankaj Kumar Srivastava, Special DG Anti-Naxal Operations, STF, CID and Vigilance, has been posted as Special DG CID and Special DG Vigilance at police headquarters. He has been relieved of the charge of Anti-Naxal Operations and STF. Anant Kumar Singh, who was awaiting posting after returning from central deputation, has been appointed as Special DG and Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Police Housing Corporation. ADG Narcotics KP Venkateshwar Rao has been appointed ADG Technical Services. He has also been given additional charge of ADG Anti-Naxal Operations. Rakesh Gupta to be IG, Ujjain range
Amid the ongoing Khelo MP Youth Games, the Home Department order has appointed ADG Anshuman Yadav as Director, Sports and Youth Welfare Department, while Rakesh Gupta has been given charge as ADG and IG of the Ujjain range. ADG PHQ D Srinivas Verma has been appointed ADG Narcotics. He has also been given additional charge of ADG STF. Transport Commissioner Vivek Sharma has been posted as ADG PTRI at police headquarters. IG Abhay Singh has been removed from the post of IG Bhopal (rural) and posted as IG Planning at police headquarters. Meanwhile, Harinarayan Chari Mishra, who has commanded Indore and Bhopal police for a long time, has been appointed IG SCRB. Sanjay Kumar, IG Balaghat, has been posted as Police Commissioner, Bhopal; Sanjay Tiwari, IG Planning, has been appointed IG Bhopal (rural); Chaitra N, IG SCRB PHQ, has been posted as IG Shahdol; and Lalit Shakyawar, IG Complaints and Human Rights PHQ, has been appointed IG Balaghat zone.
