MS Dhoni sweats hard in the nets at JSCA Stadium in Ranchi In the latest video, MS Dhoni can be seen confidently striking the ball in the nets as he steps up his preparations for the IPL 2026 season. Wearing his iconic Morrant pads, the CSK legend looked in fine touch, finding the boundaries with ease ahead of the T20 World Cup. Chennai Super Kings are expected to play most of their home matches in Ranchi and Thiruvananthapuram instead of Chennai due to the upcoming elections. Earlier, JSCA president and former India cricketer Saurabh Tiwary was also present at the stadium during Dhoni’s net practice session. ‘Dhoni looks like he’ll come out to bat at No. 3’ – R Ashwin Former India off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, who represented Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL 2025 season, may have stepped away from Indian cricket, but his interest in the franchise remains strong. Now working as a full-time cricket pundit, Ashwin believes MS Dhoni could be seen batting at a different position in the upcoming season. During a conversation on his YouTube channel, he made a comment on Thala’s batting position for CSK in the upcoming season. He said, “Dhoni looks set to play as he has already started practising. He’s looking fit. Some said he may not play in the 11, or this might be his last season. But it looks like he got motivated seeing Imran Tahir. Looking at him, it doesn’t look like he’ll bat at No.9. He looks like he’ll come out to bat at No. 3 in the Powerplay and be the enforcer, the way he has begun practice.” Post navigation Tilak Varma ruled out of last two T20Is:Left-hander to join India squad before T20 World Cup, Shreyas Iyer to remain with team Mohsin Naqvi meets Pakistan PM on T20 World Cup issue:PAK continue drama despite releasing squad for the tournament, no decision on participation
