Republic Day celebrations to be held in Ujjain:CM Mohan Yadav will hoist the flag, inspect the parade; watch dog squad show, and address the state

Madhya Pradesh will celebrate its 77th Republic Day today, Monday. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will attend the ceremony in his hometown Ujjain at Kartik Mela Ground on the banks of the Shipra River. The event will start at 9 AM. The Chief Minister will arrive at 8:55 AM and hoist the national flag at 9 AM. This will be followed by a parade salute, inspection, march past, introduction of parade commanders, celebratory firing with the national tune, and the national anthem. He will also read a special Republic Day message to the state. The ceremony will feature PT, Mallakhamb, and cultural programs. Twelve specially trained Special Dog Squads of the police will also perform this year. After the cultural performances, there will be tableaux from different departments, prize distribution, and the conclusion of the event. The program will include Police, RPF, BSF, SAF, District Police Force (male and female), District Home Guard Platoon, NCC, CRPF Band, and Dog Squad. The ceremony will include three tableaux from the Ujjain Development Authority based on development works related to Simhastha, ghats on the Shipra river, temples, roads, and highways. In addition, tableaux from Smart City, Women and Child Development, Agriculture, and other departments will also be displayed. A photo exhibition based on schemes and the year 2026 Farmer Welfare Year will be organized. It will remain open to the general public for the next three days. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will participate in a special feast organized at the Government High School in Mohanpura development block and will have lunch with the children. Traffic closed from Bada Pul to Kartik Mela Ground
Considering the main event of Republic Day, traffic will remain closed from Bada Pul towards Kartik Mela Ground until 12 PM. The road will be closed from Murlipura on Badnagar road, and vehicles will be diverted towards Juna Somwariya. The road leading from Chakratirth to Bada Pul will also remain closed until the ceremony concludes.
