A tragic incident took place during the police recruitment process in Gujarat. A young man from Kutch died after collapsing at the Bharuch Police Headquarters. According to information received, 25-year-old Raviraj Jadeja, a native of Kutch, had come to Bharuch Police Headquarters to give his physical test with the dream of joining the police force. Raviraj enthusiastically completed the prescribed run. However, as soon as he finished the run, he started feeling anxious and suddenly fainted and collapsed. He fainted and collapsed due to panic.
The medical team and police administration present on the field immediately provided first aid and shifted Raviraj to Bharuch Civil Hospital. Considering his critical condition there, he was referred to a private hospital for further treatment. A great tragedy has struck the young man’s family due to his sudden demise. With the death of Raviraj, who wished to serve the nation by wearing a khaki uniform, a deep sadness has also spread among his fellow candidates. The body has been shifted to Civil Hospital for post-mortem to ascertain the exact cause of death. After the incident, B Division police reached the Civil Hospital, registered a case of accidental death, and initiated the process of conducting a panel post-mortem by doctors. After that, the young man’s body will be taken to his native place. This incident has once again sparked a discussion regarding the physical fitness of candidates joining police recruitment and the medical facilities available on the ground. The most tragic aspect of this incident is that Raviraj came from a police family. Raviraj’s father, Mahendrasinh, is serving as an ASI (Assistant Sub-Inspector) in the Vadodara SRP (State Reserve Police) Group. Raviraj had been working tirelessly for a long time to become a PSI (Police Sub-Inspector). Last year too, he had taken the exam on the same ground but was not successful. Without losing courage, he had entered the field again this year with preparation, but the irony of fate prevented him from wearing the khaki uniform.
