Rajasthan STF raids RKDF University in Bhopal:Team also searches director Sunil Kapoor’s house over marksheet irregularities in ongoing investigation case

The Rajasthan Police Special Task Force (STF) has begun a search operation at the Gandhi Nagar and Narmadapuram Road branches of RKDF University in Bhopal. One of the three STF teams has also reached the residence of the university’s director, Sunil Kapoor, at House No. 10 in Bhopal. Local police were not informed about the action. The team of officers has locked the main gate of the Narmadapuram Road branch and is examining documents. Staff inside have not been allowed to leave, and students are also being restricted from entering or exiting the premises. According to sources, the STF has carried out this action in connection with a case of irregularities in mark sheets. One of the mark sheets seized in the case was issued by RKDF University. FIRs registered in MP and Telangana In Madhya Pradesh, the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) had also registered an FIR in December 2015 against former Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh in relation to granting concessions to RKDF Institute of Science and Technology, Bhopal. Former Technical Education Minister Raja Pataria and Sunil Kapoor, Executive Chairman of RKDF Education Society, were also named as accused. However, they were later given a clean chit after investigation. An FIR has also been registered against Sunil Kapoor in Telangana. He was accused of issuing fake degrees from RKDF University, Bhopal. Telangana police had taken him into custody in connection with this case.
