A water hearing session was held on Tuesday at the water tank in Mahavir Bagh, Tilak Nagar, Ward 49, as part of the “Sankalp se Samadhan” campaign. Indore Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav attended the camp and interacted with residents, who raised various water-related concerns. The campaign is being conducted across all wards in Indore under the guidance of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. Along with the Mayor, local councillor and MIC member Rajesh Udavat, Mayor’s representative Vivek Sinha, zonal officials, and several other officers were present at the event. Mayor highlights purpose of the campaign Mayor Bhargav said the campaign aims to ensure that welfare schemes and civic services reach eligible beneficiaries promptly and efficiently, as directed by the state government. “To address public grievances zone-wise and ward-wise, these camps are being organised,” he said. He added that water hearings are being held every Tuesday in all wards to resolve water-related issues quickly. Mayor personally listens to complaints During the hearing, the Mayor personally listened to residents’ problems. People complained about irregular water supply, contaminated water, and recurring issues due to old pipelines. After reviewing the applications and complaints, the Mayor directed officials to prioritise the resolution of contaminated water issues. He instructed that, where necessary, old pipelines should be replaced and connected to the Narmada water line to ensure clean and regular water supply to residents. Action plan for water supply improvement Officials were instructed to expedite the replacement of outdated pipes and connect affected areas to the Narmada water line. The move aims to provide clean and uninterrupted water to residents, ensuring improved service delivery and timely resolution of complaints.
