‘Were you born from a mother who enjoys?’:Former MLA RD Prajapati says storytellers should be paraded naked with shoe garlands

Former Chandla MLA RD Prajapati has sparked widespread controversy after making derogatory remarks about religious storytellers at a conference in Bhopal. Speaking at the grand meeting of the Scheduled Castes, Tribes and Other Backward Classes United Front at BHEL Dussehra Ground, Prajapati criticised “religious narrators” and accused them of degrading women. He alleged that daughters and sisters have become “plots” and claimed that the land is trembling under their suffering. He went on to demand the removal of IAS officer Santosh Verma and called for those who speak from the Vyas platform to be publicly humiliated. In 2018, the party denied him a ticket and gave it to his son, Rajesh Prajapati, who served as MLA until 2023.
