Suryakumar Yadav’s fan files ₹100-crore defamation case against Khushi Mukherjee:Actress had claimed Indian T20I captain ‘used to message me a lot’

Suryakumar Yadav’s fan Faizan Ansari has filed a ₹100 crore defamation case against actress Khushi Mukherjee on 13 January after she made allegations against the Indian T20I captain. In an earlier interview, Mukherjee had claimed that Suryakumar ‘used to message me a lot’. Ansari, a social media influencer from Mumbai, has lodged a complaint against Mukherjee at the Ghazipur police station. He said that Mukherjee’s claim of Suryakumar messaging her is completely false and he travelled to Ghazipur from Mumbai to file an FIR against her.
Ansari alleged that Mukherjee deliberately made such defamatory statements about Suryakumar Yadav that could damage the image of a national-level player. He also demanded that Mukherjee be handed a jail sentence for at least seven years after she made this claim.

A few days ago, Mukherjee had claimed that Suryakumar ‘used to message her a lot’ while saying that there were many cricketers after her. However, she clearly stated that there was never any romantic relationship between her and Suryakumar. After the controversy escalated, the actress clarified her statement in an interview given to NDTV. She said that she never had any romantic relationship with Suryakumar Yadav and that her words were presented out of context. She stated that the statement was exaggerated, which created a misunderstanding. Khushi also claimed that her Instagram account was hacked at that time. She said that earlier her conversations with Suryakumar were limited to friendship, but now there is no contact between the two. Even after the controversy, she has not had any conversation with Suryakumar.
