Tractor trolley, loading vehicle collide in Bhopal:5 family members die while travelling to Narmadapuram for Sankranti holy bath early morning road mishap

Five people died on the spot and 12 others were injured after a tractor-trolley and a loading vehicle collided head-on in Bhopal on Wednesday night. The accident took place around 9.30 pm in the Berasia police station area. The condition of some injured people is said to be serious. According to TI Virendra Sen, 15 members of the same family from Sironj were travelling in the loading vehicle. Five of them lost their lives, while nine were injured. Three people travelling on the tractor were also injured in the crash. All the injured were taken to Berasia Government Hospital for treatment. The family was on its way to Narmadapuram for a holy bath on the occasion of Sankranti. When their vehicle reached near Thakur Lal Singh School in the Berasia area, it collided with an oncoming tractor-trolley. The loading vehicle was badly damaged, and several people were trapped inside after the crash. Berasia SDM Ashutosh Sharma, ASP Neeraj Chaurasia, and Berasia TI Virendra Sen, along with MLA Vishnu Khatri, reached the hospital. Instructions were given for proper treatment of the injured. SDM Sharma said – In the preliminary investigation, high speed is being considered as the cause of the accident. However, the actual cause will only become clear after investigation.
